一、氣體的爆炸下限與溫度有關。通常，溫度愈高，反應速度愈快，爆炸范圍愈大。當進入催化燃燒裝置的廢氣濃度過大時，催化燃燒裝置的溫度將會升高，加之自前國產催化燃燒裝置均未設置廢氣濃度檢測和控制設備，而溫度升高后的廢氣的爆炸下限值將比手冊給出的值要小，再加上裝置中廢氣成分混合的不均勻性，在局部區域可能超過高溫條件下廢氣的真實爆炸下限，則有爆炸的危險。

In addition, the uneven mixing of exhaust gas components in the device may exceed the true explosion limit of the exhaust gas under high temperature conditions in local areas, There is a risk of explosion.

二、一般來講，大多數廢氣中的成份在同樣爆炸下限濃度下，所含的燃燒熱值可視為相同值，每1%的爆炸下限值約含熱值1868千焦/牛·米勺如果燃燒，即熱值全部用于使廢氣本身升溫，則1%的爆炸下限值的廢氣燃燒可使廢氣升溫15.3℃；當廢氣濃度達到25%的爆炸下限值時，可使廢氣本身溫度升高。
